Monday of Holy Week

Walking through the centre of the parish this morning was a very interesting and moving experience, sharing the journey with one or two members of the Church we encountered a good number of people who looked a little suprised. We duly handed them palm crosses and passed on Easter greetings. We stopped and prayed at one house where two of our stalwart members live, and then encountered a young lady who needed someone to talk with for a little while. Our Parish has a very large residency of people from other cultures and faith, and to be greeted with a smile from our Muslim and Sikh communities was as always a great pleasure, we are all people of faith, and today we were able to make our faith visible without opposition. May we all turn to examine the Cross, and find it to be an instrument of encouragement and inner strength, as it represents a most amazing love, one given freely for all humanity.
